I said I would post today, didn't I? It's a proud moment.
The rest of yesterday was good, besides the fact that I only saw Chris for about forty-five minutes. He came over before work, but I ended up going to the bowling alley around six to visit him and my mom. When I got home, Dad had some of his delicious chili ready. It was great! Then I watched the season finale of "10 Things I Hate About You." The show is extremely lame, and I don't know why I watch it, but I do. So I enjoyed the finale! Now I just gotta wait until it starts back, which won't be so bad because The Secret Life starts in about two weeks. Super pumped. After I watched my show, I headed back to the bowling alley. I was there for about an hour and then Dad and I just decided to bowl. We did the 9 - 11 $8 bowling. I did so much better (excluding my last game). I bowled a 109, 120-something, 144, and a 100. I averaged 125 my first three games! I was so proud. I think my arm was just tired the last one. I had a lot of fun though. Chris got off shortly after, so he and I watched The Unborn on demand. Well, he watched it. I had my eyes covered the whole time asking him what was happening because I didn't want to have nightmares. Once he left, I thought I wasn't going to be able to sleep that night, but I did. I actually thought about it more this morning as I got ready than I did last night.
Today I got up bright and early to get ready for my first day of summer classes. Part of me is regretting this decision only because I've lost some of my summer time now. But I know I'll be happy I did it during the school year when my work load isn't so heavy. Just one of those things you have to keep on reminding yourself about. I ended up getting there an hour early, of course. I just walked around and enjoying the weather. I brought a Sudoku to keep me busy, too. The class itself is incredibly boring. My professor gets on a soapbox about something every two minutes, but whatever. I only have three tests and they are essay and short answer! That stinks. Good thing Chris will be having to study too. This way we can get work done. I hope it won't be too bad. After class, I met Dad at his work and we went this place called Peyton's Place for lunch. It was wonderful! I had meatloaf (not nearly as good as Dad's!), rice, mashed potatoes (not like Grammie's!), green beans (not like G's), and cornbread. It was all great though, and I will definitely go back. I'll get a meat and two next time though. I was stuffed before I got to finish. He and I are going to have lunch together on Tuesdays, so that'll be nice. Especially since there are a lot more places there than here. I visited Chris at the bowling alley before I came home. I hung out there for a bit. Since I've been home I haven't done anything productive, and I don't mind! Chris is coming over when he gets off, and he and I are going to be studying. I have a lot of history to read before class Thursday.
So, I want to get back to my bullet making that I had done originally when I started this blog. Today's bullets are going to be of the movies I want to see on demand with Charter. I went through all the movies yesterday and made a list of the ones I want to see. On demand is so cool because I can just watch movies on there for free instead of having to rent them. So here's my list:
- A Beautiful Mind
- He's Just Not That Into You
- Hotel For Dogs [can't see it now, it expired yesterday!]
- The Unborn [check!]
- Bedtime Stories
- Julie & Julia
- The Ugly Truth
- Up
- 17 Again [check!]
I think I'll do a little review on each of them, too. Which! I can already do since I've seen two already! I'm sad I didn't get to see Hotel For Dogs, but fortunately, Bek owns it. She and I will watch it soon, I'm sure. Now to the review!
17 Again: the first movie I marked off my list. This movie starred Zac Efron. It was about a man who was having problems with his family. He thought these problems were caused by his decision to propose to his girlfriend and quit basketball, rather than get a scholarship. As the title suggests, he went back to when he was 17. The movie was pretty funny, but definitely had some unexpected parts to have several different Disney characters in it. It was good though. It was cute, and it had a happy ending. We all love those kind of movies, right? I give in about three (out of five) stars.
The Unborn: this is a movie about this a girl who choked her twin in the womb with her umbilical cord. The story started off being creepy from the start, which is why I ended up with my eyes covered for at least 45% of the movie. I just didn't want to see creepy faces and such that I knew I would see the second I closed my eyes to go to sleep. The ending was semi-predictable (as with most scary movies), but I guess the movie itself was okay. I generously give it about 2.5 stars.
Well there are my professional reviews on the movies. Haha. Not much of a review, I know. Chris is off now, but he has some things to do at home before he comes over, so when Dad gets home I'm getting fish sticks! Yay! I already pre-heated the oven. Those things are so darn good. Speaking of good food, I've decided to try to be healthier for now on. Not necessarily healthy, jut healthIER. Chris keeps bugging me about going to the gym with him, and I think I might. But don't you dare make any jokes about it yet; I haven't committed to it as of now. I also want to try not to eat as much junk food, which will be hard since I'm home all day with a pantry with food like mine. Like I said, I'm gonna try.
Don't know when I'll update again, but I'll do it as soon as I can!
