Haley 3182

The Haley Center sure is an exciting place. Especially when you're in such an awesome class as Dr. Petrucci's. I haven't updated in a while, let's see...

Well, I'm back at my dorm now. On the phone with Chris. Well, not anymore. I let him take a nap. Petrucci let us out early, that was nice. My paper is going to be on No Child Left Behind. Awesome, right? For lunch today I had Coyote Jack's because I knew I'd be eating at the Student Center for dinner. Today was definitely beautiful outside. I even at outside for, like, the third time this semester. Yay! I could not wake up this morning, it was terrible. But it was worth it because I found out that I made a 93.5 on my econ test! Heck to the yes!

Let's review the past few days. I last updated... Wednesday. Wow. Six days ago. I hope I can remember everything.

Thursday: Econ test bright and early, no fun. But I guess I did good on it :) I honestly don't remember much else, so I suppose we'll move on.

Friday: Wonderful day in geology. Not. I absolutely hate that class. But whatever, only six more lab days I think. That's more than I thought. Then I had math. Learned about good 'ole fractions and such. Went home. Hung out with Chris. Some people looked at the house while Jehovah's witnesses came to the door, haha. Wendy's for dinner/lunch at 4:45. Melanee, Zach, and Ian came over. We played Rock Band 1 & 2. It was fun. But then again, Rock Band always is. I had fun screaming during "I'm So Sick" and "One Step Closer." Afterwards, we went cosmic bowling. We played Go Fish and ERS while we bowled; that was pretty fun. I totally lost Go Fish and dominated ERS :) I bowled a 119, 105, and a 114. I'm still getting use to my new hooking ball. It's purple and green, of course. Then I waited around for Chris and hung out with him.

Saturday: Went to the mall with Chris. Bought two pairs of jeans and two jackets for sixty dollars at PacSun. Those jackets were a great deal: $7.50 each! I finally got a puffy jacket. It's plaid, purple, and puffy :) Plus, it has a furry hood. What more could I ask for?! I was pleased. After that, I almost bought many different fake glasses. I love those things. I also bought my mom some jelly beans and Melanee and I some turtles from the new candy store. That place was freaking awesome. I didn't know what to do in there! After the mall, Chris and I got Popeye's. I'm obsessed with that place. I'm pretty sure I eat there nearly every weekend. Once Chris had to go to work, I just hung around the house. I'm hooked back on Sims, lame I know. My dogs had a puppy though! I didn't know that happened, but apparently it does. Also, my dad and I watched Twilight. He liked it.

Sunday: Accidentally slept through church. I was so tired, and I have no idea why. I hung out with Chris. Watched The Big Lebowski with Dad and Chris. A mistake I'll never make again, just kidding. It wasn't too bad. I ate dinner with Mom at Ryan's. Got the usual: green beans, mac and cheese, corn, rice, and popcorn shrimp. It was yummy. Oh yeah! Dad and Chris were also in a bowling tournament that day. Had some chicken fingers for the first time along with fries. Chris bowled a 794-ish with no handicap and still didn't cash. But my dad's and his tickets both won prizes: $10 gift certificate to El Torito (gave it to my dad) and a free large pizza from the bowling alley (which is great; their pizza rocks). I think I relaxed most the rest of the day.

Monday: Doctor appointment at Children's to see about a bump right above where my line use to be. Luckily, everything turned out okay. Nothing to worry about right now. Probably a piece of my line. I got to see Lauren, that's always nice. I didn't have time to visit Four Tower though =/ Chris and I had Whataburger on the way home. It was a treat since there isn't one around here. When I got back in town, I went to the high school to pick up some recommendation letters for scholarships. I am truly blessed to have had the teachers I had when I was sick. They all rocked. Then I went to the elementary school to see about doing some observation stuff, but they sent me downtown to talk to a woman who wasn't there. Ugh, so I had to leave a note. Then I hung out with Chris for one more hour, packed, and headed back to school. When I got here I went to the library with Melanee, Zach, Ian and Sam. We had Chick-fil-a after hours of begging to eat. Melanee and I were super hyper at the dorm and while measuring her violin for an art project. At eleven, we finally came back to the dorm and passed out after Melanee sang her song about Zach. I also learned that it's an umbilical cord, not umbibical. Haha. Oops.

Well then, I guess I should probably update on time so I don't have so much to write. Sorry if this was boring. Have a wonderful afternoon. I'll update later :)

-peace.

Group Study Spaces

Yup, group study spaces in the RBD. Exciting. Wish I could say I'm actually studying. I got a nice pattern going, though. Me, Zach, Levi, and Ian are taking turns playing our music, my idea. It's relaxing. I got to use a dry-erase board! I practiced econ on that.

Let's see. Tuesday, I ate at Coyote Jacks. Turkey burger, finally! It was as good as I remembered. I might back off on their fries though. They're so good, but I never have enough room for the fries and the burger.

I got my paper assigned to me in English, which reminds me, I have to come up with my topic by tomorrow. Hmm. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

For dinner, Zach, Trey, Chris, and Joey and I went to Chick-fil-A. Afterwards, we went to the library. Melanee and Ian were there too. I didn't get any econ done, but I did work on my schedule.

Also, my advisor is driving me crazy! She's contradicting herself and telling other students who are also freshmen to take this class that she's telling me not to take. I don't know what to do. It's a tough situation. I'm meeting with her tomorrow though. Hopefully we'll get things straightened out.

Today, I had Coyote Jacks again for lunch. They forgot my pickles though, but that's okay. We ate outside, it was so nice. I dressed cute and everything today, bow headband and everything! I just wish Chris was up here. He had to work though, and I had to study, boo.

Now, I'm at the library with Ian, Levi, and Zach. Melanee is working on her kangaroo for art. Geeze. I need to get more girl friends at Auburn. Most girls around here are busy with sororities though. Plus boys have no drama. At least Melanee and I haven't had any problems.

Oh yeah! Speaking of Melanee! There was a wasp in our room today. It's a long story, but basically it was freaking hilarious. I had to be the man of us two because Melanee was terrified. It took us an hour to get rid of it, and I'm still not sure that it's gone.

Back to now. We ate CFA, again. I tried the Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich. It was okay, I suppose. Don't think I'll get it again though.

Okay, enough procrastination. I'll get back to study for economics now. Have a wonderful night.

As I wrote on the dry-erase board, Jesus loves you :)

Monday, Monday.

Hello there sunshine :)

I decided to update again. I know I said I'd do it two or three times a week, but I was thinking realistically. Hopefully I will do it more than that.

So today is my first day back at school after the best spring break I've ever had. Luckily, I only have one class on Mondays, so it wasn't too terribly bad.

After class I had lunch with Melanee, Zach, and Ian. I tried a steak, cheese, and refried bean quesadilla from Salsarita's. It wasn't so bad, but it was definitely no Moe's. I can't remember anything exceptionally hilarious from lunch, so I guess that's all I'll say about it.

After lunch, Melanee and I went to pick up her friend, who totaled her car, from the doctor. While waiting for.. Jessica? we had some discussion on how to make the car lighter work. I never really thought about it, but I became curious. We tried to figure it out, but no luck. So I decided to text Chris, my boyfriend, and ask him how. I assumed it was common knowledge, and he didn't fail me. So I now know how to use the car lighter if I ever need it :) I also learned what a blunt was. Nice, I know. I suppose it's a good thing that I don't know a lick about drugs, but I also don't want to feel like an idiot if someone makes a joke and I'm oblivious to its meaning.

Oh, and how could I forget?! I got a ticket today =/ Boo. I forgot to put money in the meter, so when the ticket said "EXPIRED METER," in reality, it was never paid for. I found it amusing.

We also had some discussion on whether or not cats lick themselves like dogs do. I have never had a cat so I wasn't sure. Zach said they probably do to clean themselves, implying dogs do it just for the sake of it. After he and Ian left I told Melanee dogs did it for cleaning, too, that it is just like toilet paper. She got a kick out of that, and then the conversation took a gross turn. I'll spare you the details.

All in all, it has been a pretty great day.
  • 101. 3 in math. Extra credit rocks.
  • Fun with friends after lunch.
  • The lousy ten dollar ticket wasn't too great, though.
(I like bullets, if you couldn't tell.)

I suppose I've made this long enough. I should probably get back, or more like start, studying for my microeconomics test on Thursday. Good afternoon/goodnight. I'll update when I can.

-peace.

Blog Number... Four?

Okay, so this is probably the fourth blog I've had. Well, maybe five. Two on xanga and two on here. So, yes, numero cinco.

By the way, I'm Court. Nice to meet you.
Now that we know each other, let's get to business.

I really enjoy writing about my day. It's a good way to look back on what has happened, and, hopefully, enjoy it all over again.

A lot has happened recently. Details won't be mentioned because this blog is starting fresh, starting with today, which is, unfortunately, the last day of the beloved spring break. Back to school in the AM, but the sooner I go back, the sooner I get out: optimism at its best.

Some random facts:
  • My nails are black for the first time. My Papa wouldn't approve. Sorry, Papa.
  • I had a charm bracelet when I was younger, and I loved it. But now that I'm ten years older, the charms don't exactly relate to me anymore. I want a new one. I don't know if that's lame or not, but I don't care. I want one.
  • I started this entry about two hours ago, but the lovely boyfriend and I ran to get some Hardee's, which leads me to another, unfortunately sad fact.
  • There is a curse on my family where anything that we like, food wise, stops being made. I can't remember what all goes for my parents, but for myself, there are plenty: Fun Feast fish stick TV dinners, Wild Berry Pop Tarts, Mini Sausage Biscuit Dippers from Sonic, the list goes on. And my most recent, Hardee's spicy chicken sandwiches that I discovered less than a week ago. They are no longer there. Disappointing to say the least.
Well, as my boyfriend sleeps and heavily breaths on my shoulder, I suppose I should close this first of, hopefully, many more entries to come. I find it important to remember even the minute details of the past. They are fun to read and then remember the day perfectly. I love scrapbooks and keepsakes, so I obviously enjoy doing this.

I plan on writing about once or twice a week. Just to keep things up to date. I'll post pictures when they are relevant and rant about schoolwork or the weather. But most of all, I'll be giving myself something to look back on when I want to remember fun stories to tell my grandchildren.

So, goodnight.

-peace.
