Is It Summer Yet?

I keep asking myself this. Geeze, I don't feel like it at all. I mean, I'm not nearly as busy as I am during the regular school year, but I don't feel like I've done nothing but relax for a day lately, which is what you're suppose to do during the summer. Instead, I've been busy with summer school, studying, and working. I mean, I've had fun, too, don't get me wrong. I just wish I was relaxing by a pool somewhere listening to my iPod not worrying about anything. But I'll get that on July 28, I suppose.

So, when did I last post? Tuesday, right? Okay. Well let's get to Wednesday then since I don't really remember Tuesday evening besides seeing Chris.

Wednesday: Let's see. Why can't I remember anything?! Oh yeah, well Chris was over, of course. We hung out. I know I studied. Chris and I laid out. Still can't tell, but I'm working on it! We watched most of up Up, which I will review at the end. Then Chris had to go home to do stuff for school, so I did the same. He came over again after that. We both had a lot of studying to do. As far as I remember, Wednesday was uneventful. Sorry if I'm forgetting anything.

Thursday: Got up and got ready for my busy day. Not only did I have class, but I was starting work with Mom also. I couldn't find my scrub pants, so I raided Mom's closet and got some of hers. I then went to class and studied while I waited for it to start. We had our first quiz in there. It was one of those kind where he asked us to list stuff we talked about Tuesday. Thank goodness I remembered! I had to think pretty hard though, but I came up with five like he asked. Class was incredibly boring and we got out ten minutes early, which isn't really a big deal considering it's a total of 125 minutes. I then went to Whataburger to get a bite to eat before heading into work. I found work just fine. I'm a much more confident driver now that I've driven so much this past year to and from school. Right when I walked in I felt apart of the group since Latimer ragged on me for coming in at one. Then I explained that I had class. He thought I was just lazy. (Don't you laugh to yourself, Mom.) Work was alright. I brought my iPod to keep me entertained while I filed folders and such. I was ready to get home though when 4:30 rolled around. Once I got home, Chris came over and we chilled for an hour before bowling started. We finished watching the last twenty minutes of Up. It was the last Thursday before our league starts. I'm so nervous! Then I ran home to brush my teeth (I had chicken fingers and fries while I was at the bowling alley, and a Twix :) Thanks Chris!), and then I headed back up there for the first night of Scratch, his other league. He got a team with Kyle and some Jeff guy that I don't know and he wasn't able to be there. So I gotta wait until next week to figure out who this darn guy is! I was the team secretary for the night, and I loved it. I'm such a nerd, I know. I also got some studying done while I was there. I was shocked and proud. It was a good day.

Friday: Went to work again. I went knowing that I wasn't going to have enough to do to last me the whole day, but Chris and I planned on meeting for lunch and I figured he could just take me home afterwards. And as I knew, I was done with my work around 1115. Chris got there around 1145 and we headed back home and ate Captain D's. Neither of us were that impressed. I only got a total of 6.5 hours this week, so I'm going to turn in my time sheet every other week so my check won't be so crappy. After we ate, we just hung out until he had to go to work. At five, I met Mom at Outback. I saw Colby while I was there. I was disappointed with my burger for the second time. They usually have like a steak burger almost, but lately I'm been getting "a McDonald's patty on a bigger bun" as my mom put it, which is definitely true. We got dessert too, and that was good. Overall, Apple Jacks from breakfast seemed to be the best food I had eaten all day besides my dessert. Pathetic. I then stopped by the bowling alley until Bekah was ready for me to pick her up. She came over and we hung out. It was fun. We watched The Pregnancy Pact, a Lifetime movie based on a true story. Even though that wasn't on my On Demand list, I'll review it later as well. Bek I stayed up until about twelve, and then I crashed. I'm sure she was up later than me though; she always is. Here's a list of things we got "nerd points" for:

Bekah's nerd point list from Friday, May 28, 2010

  • She was explaining to me how she has been re-reading the Twilight Saga and how she has thought about all the cool things about being a vampire. She wants to not have to sleep or have a bed. She wants to sparkle? She wants a vampire boyfriend. She wants to move fast. Needless to say, major nerd points.
  • She also told me about how she imagined this whole movie/reality show thing involving Chase Crawford and Gerard Butler. I can't even begin to explain it, but I definitely laughed when she told me.
  • She stayed up the night before until 5:30 AM finishing Breaking Dawn.
  • She watched the Hannah Montana movie and Material Girls recently.
  • Several things happened with Taylor Lautner. She just went crazy over him. She torn out a picture of him in my magazine. She kissed it. She brought it in the living room when we watched the movie. It was pathetic.
  • And this morning, she talked about making a shirt out of the Lautner picture, like an iron on or something.
Court's nerd point list

  • I referred to when I looked back at mine and Chris's wall-to-wall on Facebook. She made me write that one down. Is that really that bad? Haha.
  • Earlier in the day I looked up the lyrics to Miley's song "Can't be Tamed" and then watched the music video. Lame, I know.
  • I talked to Jessie about having a party in the living room.
  • I told Bek that I wanted to have a launch party for The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Unfortunately, Bek is like the only one who watches it, so it won't be much of a CHM.
  • I saw the winner of ANTM on my magazine and threw it down on the bed. I was disappointed because I hadn't watched a single episode of that season and I knew who the winner was.
  • I constantly busted out my laptop during the movie to look up people on imdb. It helped and I was right about a lot of people.
We're nerds, I know. But you love us anyway, I'm sure.

Today: Not too much. I got up around 930 while Bek was still asleep and took a shower. Then I laid in bed on the computer. Bek and I spent 13 hours laying in the bed. That feels like summer! I then took her home around 1230. Then Chris came over and we had McDonald's. Then he studied and I started on cleaning my room. It's really bad. Then he left and now I'm doing this. I'll update soon again, I hope to tell you about the rest of my fun-filled (maybe) night.

Movie review time! Let's begin with Up. Another cute Pixar-Disney movie. Their movies are always so cute. This one was a lot like Wall-e in the fact that the first thirty minutes or so seemed to be generally quiet with little dialogue. In those silent moments I definitely had some tears in my eyes, but you saw it coming. There were several parts that broke my heart in the movie, but the ending was absolutely wonderful. I loved it. It definitely deserved to have so many nominations this past year. We also watched one of the shorts called Dug's Secret Mission or something like that. I think I give it five out of five starts. It made the movie that much cuter. Thank you On Demand! And as for Up, I give it about 4.5 starts maybe. I'm stingy and can't give out too many fives.

The Pregnancy Pact: This movie wasn't On Demand so I didn't put it on my list from the previous blog, but it was on DVR. So it counts as movies I planned on watching this summer. It was a generic, semi-dramatic Lifetime movie. I just can't believe it's a true story. It's about these five girls who make a pact to get pregnant so their kids will grow up together. There's drama with the fathers-to-be and the families and the school and blah blah blah. Oh, did I mention they were only fifteen? Yeah, sad. They just didn't see their futures. The movie gets a three out of five I guess.

Well, there's my long blog once again. I don't know what's gotten into me and why I post so long, but I do. Sorry. I just like to be detailed! Have a great weekend.

On time!

I said I would post today, didn't I? It's a proud moment.

The rest of yesterday was good, besides the fact that I only saw Chris for about forty-five minutes. He came over before work, but I ended up going to the bowling alley around six to visit him and my mom. When I got home, Dad had some of his delicious chili ready. It was great! Then I watched the season finale of "10 Things I Hate About You." The show is extremely lame, and I don't know why I watch it, but I do. So I enjoyed the finale! Now I just gotta wait until it starts back, which won't be so bad because The Secret Life starts in about two weeks. Super pumped. After I watched my show, I headed back to the bowling alley. I was there for about an hour and then Dad and I just decided to bowl. We did the 9 - 11 $8 bowling. I did so much better (excluding my last game). I bowled a 109, 120-something, 144, and a 100. I averaged 125 my first three games! I was so proud. I think my arm was just tired the last one. I had a lot of fun though. Chris got off shortly after, so he and I watched The Unborn on demand. Well, he watched it. I had my eyes covered the whole time asking him what was happening because I didn't want to have nightmares. Once he left, I thought I wasn't going to be able to sleep that night, but I did. I actually thought about it more this morning as I got ready than I did last night.

Today I got up bright and early to get ready for my first day of summer classes. Part of me is regretting this decision only because I've lost some of my summer time now. But I know I'll be happy I did it during the school year when my work load isn't so heavy. Just one of those things you have to keep on reminding yourself about. I ended up getting there an hour early, of course. I just walked around and enjoying the weather. I brought a Sudoku to keep me busy, too. The class itself is incredibly boring. My professor gets on a soapbox about something every two minutes, but whatever. I only have three tests and they are essay and short answer! That stinks. Good thing Chris will be having to study too. This way we can get work done. I hope it won't be too bad. After class, I met Dad at his work and we went this place called Peyton's Place for lunch. It was wonderful! I had meatloaf (not nearly as good as Dad's!), rice, mashed potatoes (not like Grammie's!), green beans (not like G's), and cornbread. It was all great though, and I will definitely go back. I'll get a meat and two next time though. I was stuffed before I got to finish. He and I are going to have lunch together on Tuesdays, so that'll be nice. Especially since there are a lot more places there than here. I visited Chris at the bowling alley before I came home. I hung out there for a bit. Since I've been home I haven't done anything productive, and I don't mind! Chris is coming over when he gets off, and he and I are going to be studying. I have a lot of history to read before class Thursday.

So, I want to get back to my bullet making that I had done originally when I started this blog. Today's bullets are going to be of the movies I want to see on demand with Charter. I went through all the movies yesterday and made a list of the ones I want to see. On demand is so cool because I can just watch movies on there for free instead of having to rent them. So here's my list:

  • A Beautiful Mind
  • He's Just Not That Into You
  • Hotel For Dogs [can't see it now, it expired yesterday!]
  • The Unborn [check!]
  • Bedtime Stories
  • Julie & Julia
  • The Ugly Truth
  • Up
  • 17 Again [check!]
I think I'll do a little review on each of them, too. Which! I can already do since I've seen two already! I'm sad I didn't get to see Hotel For Dogs, but fortunately, Bek owns it. She and I will watch it soon, I'm sure. Now to the review!

17 Again: the first movie I marked off my list. This movie starred Zac Efron. It was about a man who was having problems with his family. He thought these problems were caused by his decision to propose to his girlfriend and quit basketball, rather than get a scholarship. As the title suggests, he went back to when he was 17. The movie was pretty funny, but definitely had some unexpected parts to have several different Disney characters in it. It was good though. It was cute, and it had a happy ending. We all love those kind of movies, right? I give in about three (out of five) stars.

The Unborn: this is a movie about this a girl who choked her twin in the womb with her umbilical cord. The story started off being creepy from the start, which is why I ended up with my eyes covered for at least 45% of the movie. I just didn't want to see creepy faces and such that I knew I would see the second I closed my eyes to go to sleep. The ending was semi-predictable (as with most scary movies), but I guess the movie itself was okay. I generously give it about 2.5 stars.

Well there are my professional reviews on the movies. Haha. Not much of a review, I know. Chris is off now, but he has some things to do at home before he comes over, so when Dad gets home I'm getting fish sticks! Yay! I already pre-heated the oven. Those things are so darn good. Speaking of good food, I've decided to try to be healthier for now on. Not necessarily healthy, jut healthIER. Chris keeps bugging me about going to the gym with him, and I think I might. But don't you dare make any jokes about it yet; I haven't committed to it as of now. I also want to try not to eat as much junk food, which will be hard since I'm home all day with a pantry with food like mine. Like I said, I'm gonna try.

Don't know when I'll update again, but I'll do it as soon as I can!

One

more day until my short-lived summer is over. I mean, it'll be summer for me again on July 28th. I start summer school tomorrow. I'm only taking World History 2. So, it's not the end of the world. I'm also going to be working with my mom on Thursday after class and Fridays. Sorry I'm updating so late. I have honestly been busy. So let's get to it.

Last Thursday: I updated talking about how lazy I had been. That didn't change. I went to the bowling alley with Chris and that was about it. I did constantly remember how awesome God and my family are. I just hope I can continue to remember that on days that aren't May 13 or November 17. I need to be able to remember on bad days too.

Last Friday & Saturday: Chris was off for the entire weekend. It was so nice. We ate out at Outback on Saturday. We fought over the check, and we both had out our money. The waitress took Chris's, of course. I'll try a hundred more times. He does so much for me, and I know that he needs his money for stuff besides me. It was a nice weekend.

Last Sunday: With Chris again. I don't remember all the details. I do remember having to go to bed early since I had a busy week ahead of me.

Last Monday: First busy day of summer. To start off the day I got ready to go to DPES. I tried to look professional. I wore a dress and heels. I felt like I was going to a real job. I signed in and headed to Mrs. Rhodes's class to begin my pre-teaching. Right when I walked in, Mrs. Agee was in there. I used to go to her class all the time. I liked helping her. She didn't know who I was, and I didn't wanna say anything. She greeted me by saying, "You're in college? You look like you're still in high school." My response, "Yeah, I get that a lot..." What a great way to start off my day. I try reminding myself I'll appreciate it one day, but I don't appreciate it now! I'm nineteen and a sophomore in college. Geeze. Okay, enough of the soap box. Moving on. Mrs. Rhodes's came in and told me that not a lot was going to happening over the week. The kids had to take some final tests and such. I was pretty quiet my first day with the second graders. I didn't know what to do. I ate chicken nuggets at lunch and sat with the teachers. It was so weird being with them instead of the students, since the last time I was there I was a sixth grader. Crazy, huh? Monday wasn't too eventful. I really didn't do much. It was my first day and I was nervous. I didn't get to see Chris really. I went by his house afterwards, but then Viv and I had to head to AUM so I could register. She and I went there and back, it was such a breeze! Viv left, but later that evening I had some people over. First, Bek and I caught up and then Viv headed over and we had some girl talk. Haha. Then we invited Zach and whoever he was with and then my doorbell rang and it was Zach, Joey, Mike, Nick, and Andy. We all just hung out and had a good time. It was so nice to see Mike and Andy! I haven't seen them in so long. The guys all left. Then Viv. Then Bek and I watched this movie that was on TV called The Net. We hadn't seen the beginning, so we were kinda lost for some of it. It actually turned out pretty good. Once it was over, Dad and I took Bek home, and once I got home I passed out!

Tuesday: Up bright and early for my second day. I don't remember all that happened that day. I know I ate gross spaghetti and green beans and made a note-to-self to check the cafeteria menu for the next day. I picked the kids up from P.E. that day and one of the girls wanted to hold my hand the whole way. She was annoying and cute at the same time. Mrs. Rhodes had informed me that she was a trouble maker the day before. The kids talked to me more that day, but I didn't do to much with them. I also learned that the new principal doesn't make them wear nice clothes every day, so I wore jeans the rest of the week. I still dressed cute, just more comfortable. Oh yeah, while they were gone at P.E. I went to go see Chris. That was a nice treat. We watched one of his home videos, it was hilarious. Then I hurried back to school, but got there fifteen minutes early still. I ended up having three pictures from three different girls in the class. They were so sweet! I loved them! They all called me Miss Hillman. I went back to Chris's after school because he had to work that night again. So we really hadn't been seeing each other that much. I didn't do too much when I left his house. I sat around my house and decided to make a trip to the bowling alley to see Chris and Mom. Then I went to Hardee's. I asked for a cheese burger with ketchup and pickles only. The screen they looked at to make the order had a note about mustard, and I ended up having everything on it. Oh well, I scraped off the onions and lived. That was about it for that day.

Wednesday: I did a lot more at school that day. One of the kids saw me in the hallway and said hey; he made my day! I graded papers and led a game of "SKUNK" that Mrs. Rhodes taught me. I went to the Snack Shack at a different time then the kids do, because I had that privilege. I loved being able to do special stuff. Like go into rooms that said "No Students Beyond This Point." It was cool. I got fries at lunch and some food from the snack store and Mrs. Rhodes and I ate in the classroom because one of the student's moms took the kids to lunch. I helped the kids to classwork that day. One of the boys made me an envelope! Haha. He said, "You can keep papers in it and stuff." It was adorable. It was just a great day! Once I got home, Chris came over for a bit. We hung out. We ate Popeye's I think for dinner. I got the chicken tenders like I use to instead of popcorn shrimp. They were still great! He then went to the gym while I went to Calvary. That was fun too. Richard and Scott were there when I got there. They were playing Nintendo, just like always. As they were playing, Scott goes, "So Courtney, did you ever get you a camaro?" (Everyone around there knows that a camaro has been my dream car for forever!) I nonchalantly said yes. He said, "Nu-uh." And I said, "It's outside." Richard threw down his controller and about broke the blinds off the window trying to see outside. Then we all went outside so they could see it. Scott was totally messing around, not thinking I actually had it :) It was the best. They asked why I didn't say anything and I said I didn't want to brag. They said they would have been, haha. Bo pulled up freaking out too. Then Scott's friend Brady, I think that's his name, came. It was a good lesson. I went back home and Chris came back over and we hung out.

Thursday: My last day with the students. Mrs. Rhodes said I didn't have to come Friday because they really weren't going to be doing anything. She put me in charge of the class immediately. She had to watch Mrs. Agee's class. I kept the kids doing their morning work. I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself. Then I was sent to Miss Haywood's class because she apparently has a smart board. Mrs. Rhodes wanted me to see it. Unfortunately, she had to turn it in, but I stayed in her class until lunch anyway. Then back to my kids who were all yelling "Miss Hillman!" when I came back. It felt so good! Mrs. Rhodes's neighbor, Hannah was there to help for the rest of the afternoon. I must admit, I was kind of jealous when she was leading SKUNK with the kids, but I got over when I realized how happy they were to see me. She and I graded papers mostly. I had school pizza for lunch. I had been looking forward to it, and it didn't live up to my expectations. Oh well. I hugged the kids goodbye and got a picture with them. I don't think I'm allowed to post it online, so I won't. But let me tell you, these kids were adorable! I got another picture that day also. I was with Chris the rest of the evening. Went to the bowling alley and such. I ate lovely bowling alley food. Chris got $350+ from the league. And he got HIS 300 RING! I'm so proud of him. He said he's gonna give it to me after he shows it off and wears it for a little while :)

Friday: Stayed at home all day. Such a nice feeling. Hung out with Chris, then he left to go to the gym. Viv came over while he was gone and she and I hung out. Then Chris came back over. Then he left for work. I ate dinner with mom at Olive Garden. It was good. We got six Andes! Heck yes. I love those things. Then I went to Viv's to play SingStar. We didn't play for too long because my throat started to bother me. So we just hung out and talked for a while. I was there until about 10:45. Afterwards, I made a stop at the bowling alley. Kyle let me sit and the front with Chris and take money and put on wristbands. I just sat there, since it wasn't my job. But it was fun hanging out. I finally went home and passed out!

Saturday: I hung out with Chris. I don't remember what we did. Sorry Chris. Oh yeah, we went to Sabrina's graduation. We weren't there long thought because it was in a crowded gym with no air conditioning. I got really light headed. But hey, I gave her money. That's what she wanted anyway. I met Chris's dad and some other people from his family. They were all nice. It was a good day though. Sonic for dinner. Dad and I went bowling. I did terrible. I'm just not good enough to figure out the lanes. I started to get it toward the end of the third game though. Viv, Tristan, and Bek came over. We chilled and watched videos. Tris played with the Gamecube. It was fun.

Sunday: I was productive immediately! I washed dishes and clothes. So unlike me, I know. But it felt good. I got two loads done. Went to Destiny. It was a great service! Then Chris, Dad, and I ate at O`Charley's. It was pretty good. We went back to the house and rested for a bit, then headed to the bowling alley for the league meeting. I'm so nervous about bowling! I don't want to make us lose. I'll get over it though. Hopefully I'll hold my own. We hung out some more. We were gonna watch a movie, but we ended up not. McDonald's for dinner. We went to Movie Gallery also, since they're closing. But everything is only 20%, so we're gonna wait it out. It's hard to pay $10 for a movie sometimes when I know I can get them for cheap at Movie Stop. We went to Chris's to say bye to his dad. We all hung out for a bit. It was a wonderful day. Jessie cuddled with me that night. It made me so happy!

Today: I've been lazy and productive at the same time. It feels good. I finished the clothes and emptied the dish washer. I still have to put the clothes up, but I'm doing good. I still haven't eaten lunch and it's 4:30! I think I will after this. Chris has had a busy day. He went to Selma for his orientation, that was a disaster. Poor Chris. He's stressed, but I know he can do it. I saw him for less than an hour today. He was busy with his stuff. Jessie and I have just been hanging out. She goes where I go. I love it! Now for some food!

I'll update tomorrow, promise! I want to be able to say other stuff besides daily activities. Have a great week!

Anniversary.

There hasn't been a lot going on. It's now summer, so we'll see how my updating goes (which is pretty good so far since I updated Sunday and it's Thursday!). I don't know what kind of details I'll share. We'll just have to wait and see. Now down to business.

Monday: No finals for me that day. Just a day to relax, pack, and study my butt off. I had a lot of fun. Mel and I hung out and had a fiesta like we did our first night. We laughed and talked about the memories we had had in the dorm. I'll miss those good times, but I'm so ready for the news one we'll have next year in out apartment! Monday was a great night.

Tuesday: Two finals, boo. I somehow managed to pack (nearly) all of my things into my car. How did I do that in my little two-door sports car, I don't know. But it was definitely a proud accomplishment. Mom says I get my packing skills from Grammie, which I believe to be true. Me, Mel, Zach and Ian had one last lunch together for the year. It was fun and sad. But I was definitely glad to be going home in a few hours. After lunch we turned in our keys and headed home. Melanee and I are always having so much fun together. The car ride was the best. Once I got home, I chilled until Chris got off work, and then he came over. He and I hung out like usual. That's always nice :) I'm pretty sure we ate Sonic that night. I got the Dory fish toy. I still need like eight more or something.

Wednesday: Got up and got ready, then headed over to Grammie and Papa's for Mom's birthday lunch. It was great! Grammie cooked cube steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, rice, and biscuits. Talk about delicious. She is definitely the best cook. We hung out for a bit, then Chris and I went home. At five, I hung out with Vivi. She and I went to Moe's (I owed her for her graduation present) and then I think we hit every main street in Prattville. We just rode around with the music up and the windows down. It was so much fun. After that, Chris and I hung out again. Me, him, and Dad watched Bad News Bears; it was actually pretty cute. Then we just relaxed. I also found out that I got a 3.81 for the semester and 3.69 overall. Yay!

Today: Today is definitely a big day for me. Five years ago today I was diagnosed with leukemia. Talk about the best and worst day ever! God and my family have helped me get through so much. I don't know what I would have done without them there every single moment. Also, some of my friends stayed by my side. I appreciate them so much. I appreciate life and all the things my family does for me. They are so incredible. I've celebrated my staying in bed until eleven :) Then I picked Viv up from school and we ate lunch together and hung out until I had to take her back. Now I'm waiting around for Chris to get off, then we'll be back at the bowling alley for his two leagues. I keep telling myself that I'm going to unpack all of my things, but I just can't get up to do it. I've been up since ten, and it's now three. I bet I've spent three of the hours I've been awake lying in bed and the computer, and I must say that I don't mind. It's summer. I'm a college kid. I need to relax, right? Haha. I'll be productive soon. I hope...

I'd just like to thank everyone again for everything. It's amazing what God can bring from a terrible situation. I'm so blessed, and I would never change anything that's happened. I had great doctors, wonderful nurses, and a strong support team from family and friends. I'm so honored to say that I've stayed strong with the help of God. I have always known that He's always been here for me.

Oh, and the camaro is doing just fine :)

Three days later...

I tried starting this post last Thursday, but things kept happening. I've been busy, plus it would not let me upload pictures, so I gave up. It's now Sunday, and I am determined to finish this TODAY. So let's get started.

Last Friday: Class. Came home. Hung out with Chris before work. Ate with Mom at Longhorn. It was awesome. Longhorn is definitely my favorite restaurant, along with Outback, Olive Garden, and Moe's. I really don't remember much else. I know that I said more when I started this post Thursday, but I don't remember what it was. Sorry. I do remember staying up until 3 AM. Oh wait! I remember more! I went to Viv's house. We played SingStar Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Queen, and ABBA. Talk about some fun. We had fun singing the usual songs, but when we busted out the Queen, it was HILARIOUS. I've never had so much fun singing "We Are the Champions." It was definitely a laugh riot. After I left her house, I stayed up lacing my shoes. I have twelve different pairs of converse, and twelve different laces. So I laced them all. It was time-consuming, but at least my shoes are unique now.

Last Saturday: What a fun-filled day! I was busy practically all day, but I don't mind. I finished off my shoes. I had like four more to go that morning I think. After getting ready, Chris and I headed to Laine's wedding. She is now a Barber. It was a nice, small, outdoor wedding. Just close family and friends. The weather was kinda crazy: full of wind and almost rain, but the sun shined some, too. The reception was at the same place, so we stayed there for a bit. We watched some dances and talked and finally left. Afterwards, we just hung out until Chris had to go to work. Once he left, I got ready for pictures with Ashley! She took pictures of Viv, Bek, and me. It was tons of fun. We had about four different outfits and went to the railroad tracks and to ASF in Montgomery, which is beautiful by the way. So that was lots of fun. Viv and Bek played "Sweet and Sour" with people on the interstate. It's where you wave to people driving by and see if they wave back (sweet) or if they don't (sour). It was fun. Then, I stayed at home waiting around for eight so I could go to Melanee's. Mel, Zach, and I watched The Skeleton Key in her shed. They made it all cool. Her little brother came knocking on the outside and freaked Mel and me out! It was lots of fun, even though I screamed practically the whole movie. I was basically lying on Melanee from scooting over and freaking out so much. Then we chilled and watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Tens for a while. I then went home and rested (around midnight)!

Last Sunday: I wish I could say that I went to church, but that wasn't going to happen considering the amount of sleep that I had gotten over the past two days. It was not enough to be able to stay focused at church. So I slept until, like, eleven, which is unusual for me, but I liked it! Then Chris and I hung out. I don't remember where I ate all weekend, which is good. Now I don't sound like I do nothing but eat, haha. Let's see... I don't remember much else. Chris had to work that night. Oh! I did go bowling. That was on... yeah.. Sunday! Go me. I didn't do good though, at all. I haven't bowled since February I think. Needless to say, I need to get back to practicing regularly.

Monday: Hung out with Chris in the morning before leaving for school. Unfortunately (kind of), the weather was bad, so I ended up not leaving until about one o'clock to avoid the storm. I missed class, but Laura said she'd let me copy her notes (we were only reviewing for the final anyway, so I didn't miss much). When I got to Auburn, I don't remember what I did. I do know that this week was full of studying because of finals. Oh, and Melanee was gone all week. So I was pretty bored.

Tuesday: DEAD DAY. Thank goodness. That means there are no classes or anything. It was nice. I studied some. Chris came up. He and I ate at Wendy's and then went to go see Oceans. It was interesting. He left, I studied more. Then Mom came up because she had to work in Opelika that next morning. Also, there was some recall on my windshield wipers, so she was going to get that checked out, too. She and I went to O`Charley's. It was delicious. We also went to Target to see if they had this basket that I really want, but they didn't. Then we went back to the dorm and chilled.

Wednesday: Mom took my car that morning while I did some last-minute studying for my history final at twelve. She got done early enough that I got my car back before my final, so that was nice. I asked her to stay until I got out so we could eat lunch together, so she did. My final wasn't too bad, but it was definitely the hardest test we've had in there. Thank goodness that is over! Once I finish history this summer, I won't have to take it anymore! Hallelujah! I had forgotten my phone, too, which is the craziest feeling. I had no idea how empty I feel without it. It's sad really, but I just felt disconnected from everything. Thankfully, someone in the class let me borrow their phone to call Mom to tell her I had forgotten it. When I got out of my final, I headed down the stairs to meet my mom outside the Student Center as planned. Well, to my surprise, there apparently was a huge spill of coke directly outside the door for the stairs. I did not see this, of course, so my feet fell out from under me, and I busted my butt in the Haley Center. I was embarrassed, to say the least. I got up faster than I thought I ever could and repeatedly said to myself "Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry..." I rushed out the door and pretended like no one saw me, which is possible because about only two people were out at the time. I found Mom and told her what happened, and I still didn't cry. What a miracle for me, the cry baby. We went to CFA and ate with Ian and Jordan because they were there too. We bought stuff at Outtakes, and then she left. I just hung out at the dorm. Ian invited Zach and I to some shrimp thing at the park with this Christian group on campus, so I went. It wasn't exactly the highlight of my day, but I didn't want to say no. Afterwards, I packed a lot. Cameron and I talked some. Kailey left. What a detailed day.

Thursday: My geology final wasn't until four, so I studied throughout the day. Mel came back when I was in the shower with the door open. She scared me so bad! I just ate lunch at the dorm because I wanted to study. I put all my stuff in my car and then headed to my final. I wasn't stressed until I got into the classroom, then I freaked out. I eventually calmed down. I felt like I did okay. I found out earlier in the week that I had ten points of extra credit which went on to my FINAL GRADE. Are you serious!? This chick is awesome. I think that's partly why I wasn't so stressed. I then hurried home to surprise Chris (it was our ten monthiversary!). I got home, changed into my cute new dress from Delia*s, and put on makeup. I slipped up a little on the phone with Chris, but I made up for it. Then I went to the bowling alley and surprised him and my dad. It was so fun. I ate some good 'ole bowling alley food. It's just one of those things you need every now and then. I stayed with Chris during both leagues, like I usually do when I'm there. Then went home and slept!

Friday: Hung out with Chris. I really don't remember doing much. Dad took my car to Montgomery to get the windshield wiper thing fixed (they didn't do it in Opelika). We ate CFA. It was a nice relaxing day. Then, at five, Mom picked me up to go stay the night at Grammie and Papa's. We were ready to eat right when we got there, but we were going to go to a place called Oskar's. When we first got there, Papa told me about some baby birdies he wanted to show me outside. He went to go check to see if the mom was there while Mom and I gave Grammie her Mother's Day present. Papa called for us to come out, and you won't believe what I saw. Something much better than baby birdies (no offense, birds). IT WAS A BLACK 2010 CAMARO. I freaked out. I seriously didn't think that it was mine. I didn't know what to say, and I couldn't move. It was a feeling that nobody can ever understand. I held back the tears of joy because we were about to eat. Papa took pictures, and I stood there in shock. Finally, they told me to sit in it, so I did. I still didn't think it was mine. I wanted it to be mine, but I didn't want to get to excited thinking it was mine and find out that it wasn't. They told me to drive it, so Mom got in and I drove around the neighborhood. I was speechless. I still didn't know what to think. When I got back I said thank you a hundred times, took a picture with it to send to Chris, and then we went to eat! The place was pretty good. When we got back, my mom drove it around while we jammed. It was lots of fun. Then, we chilled at the house and went to bed.

[Note: this means that all those things about working in Opelika and my windshield wipers were lies! Can you believe it? But it's okay with me, considering the circumstances.]

Saturday: Got up, ate breakfast, hung out for a bit, then Mom and I went home. It was a nice morning. When we got home, we set up the OnStar, then Mom left. Dad drove Chris and I around for a bit and we ended up seeing some of my cousins outside, so we talked to them for a minute. Then, Chris and I went to the store and then got McDonald's for the three of us. We hung out until he had to leave for work, and then I was bored. I tried to get people to come over, but it didn't work out. I went to Melanee's for a bit and ate dinner with her family. It was nice. The chicken was delicious. I then just hung out at the house and watched some TV until I fell asleep.

Today: Went to Destiny. It was nice. I missed going there, I'm glad I'll be back for the summer soon. We then went to the house and chilled. Chris and I watched The Pebble and the Penguin, one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. It was fun to watch. Then we just chilled until he had to leave for work. Then Dad got me and him some Sonic, and then I got ready to leave for school. It took me longer than expected, but I finally got it all done. Now I'm up at school about to eat dinner. I love my car. Every time I'm outside I look at it about a hundred times. I love it!

Well, Mel, Zach, and I are about to eat. Sorry for the length, AGAIN. I'll be studying for finals for two more days, then summer! So they won't be like this so much anymore. Have a wonderful evening!

-peace.
